Medical secretaries, medical records and health information technicians and medical coders are projected to be among the fastest growing occupations in Florida. There are full-time, part-time and self-employment opportunities, and the skills learned here are applicable anywhere in the United States, should you move out of the area.

There are also a series of online medical coding, medical secretary and medical transcription courses and certificate programs. Most are instructor-led.
