Digital Photography Last Steps - Getting the Most from Your SLR

This is a course for those with detachable lens digital SLR cameras. Learn how to take advantage of all the wonderful features of these cameras. Familiarize yourself with all the controls and menus and then go forward into applying those controls effectively to creatively control exposure, depth of field, focus and more. Explore metering in more depth and how to effective gauge the tonality of the scene before them. The pros and cons of the RAW file format and how to use it effectively will be covered. Bring their cameras to class along with your camera manuals. Week 1 will deal with all the features on the cameras and what they do. Week 2 will address the key photo concepts noted above and using your camera controls to exploit them effectively. Week 3 will continue as needed and also deal with equipment and accessories such as tripods, filters, flash, lenses and so on.
