Influencing Others

Learn how to harness the power of influence and persuasion to get things done.  Identify your current persuasion style and better understand how to improve your style based on the situation.  Utilize influence to get your ideas heard.  Obtain the best tips and techniques taken from persuasion, negotiation and communication strategies to achieve a successful outcome.

You will learn to:

  • Better understand what influencing is and why it’s important at work
  • Identify individual persuasion and/or negotiation style
  • Better understand the principles of persuasion
  • Better understand the critical elements of a persuasion scenario and how to use them beneficially
  • Differentiate between the basic persuasion/negotiation outcomes
  • Understand the communication styles that work best for creating influence
  • Be assertive and self confident without being pushy
  • Better understand how to build trust when persuading/negotiating
  • Deal with an untrustworthy person
  • Break a deadlock
  • Apply persuasion, communication and/or negotiation strategies to case study scenarios
